Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement / Purchase Engineering.
• Experience in vendor development and supplier management.
• Strong exposure to procurement of Mechanical components, Rubber components, Industrial consumables and engineering materials.
• Experience in supplier identification, RFQ handling, quotation comparison, negotiation, and purchase order execution.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in AutoCAD (2D & 3D drawings).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tolerances.
• Experience in component inward inspection and incoming quality verification.
• Ability to perform dimensional inspection using standard measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of quality standards, material specifications, and component acceptance criteria.
• Basic understanding of supplier quality assurance and corrective action follow-up.
• Good communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and onboard new vendors for mechanical and rubber components.
• Source and procure materials as per technical and commercial requirements.
• Review engineering drawings and coordinate technical clarification with suppliers.
• Conduct inward inspection and ensure supplied materials meet specifications.
• Generate dimensional reports and maintain inspection records.
• Coordinate with stores, production, and quality teams.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost.
